Cleveland Bicycle Week

Saturday May 10 thru Saturday May 17, 2008

Numerous organizations came together to produce the first ever Cleveland Bicycle Week! The idea was to promote cycling by showcasing fun and educational activities. Some of the events were new (Bicycle Movies Night), some of them were existing (Bike To Work) and some were a combination by adding bicycles (Bike To RiverSweep).
Thursday May 15th there was be a one-day conference for government officials, health and wellness professionals, the media and other interested parties. The conference was at the downtown Cleveland Public Library. The info expo was free and open to everyone.

20 riders who biked to work received a different bicycle accessory each morning courtesy of NOACA. At the end of the week, a person could have potentially accumulated a free headlight, taillight, mirror, pump, lock and seatpack with a total value of $110!
